Who We Are

At Bullitt County EMS, we are more than just first responders — we are a lifeline for our community. Rooted in service and driven by compassion, BCEMS proudly provides around-the-clock emergency medical care to the residents and visitors of Bullitt County. As the trusted 911 EMS provider, we respond to every call with urgency, skill, and heart. Whether it’s a roadside emergency, a call from home, or a critical care transfer, our dedicated professionals are ready — every hour, every day. We don’t just answer calls — we serve, protect, and uplift the lives of those who depend on us.

We are a dedicated EMS agency committed to delivering high-quality emergency medical care and patient transportation throughout the county. Operating a fleet of ambulances and response vehicles, we respond to both 911 emergency calls and interfacility transfers, ensuring patients receive timely, continuous care.

Our agency is based out of five strategically located stations, enabling rapid response across the county. Our crews work 12.5-hour shifts to provide 24/7 coverage, ensuring that help is always available when it’s needed most.

We proudly work in collaboration with Mount Washington Fire and EMS, who primarily handle emergency calls within the Mount Washington fire district. During periods of high demand or active calls, we provide additional support to ensure uninterrupted service. This partnership strengthens our shared mission of delivering effective, reliable care to the entire community.

Lifepak-35's

Our crews use the Lifepak 35 cardiac monitor/defibrillator, which provides advanced cardiac care in the field. It offers 12-lead EKG capability, capnography, pulse oximetry, and synchronized cardioversion—essential tools for managing cardiac emergencies and monitoring critical patients.

Lucas 3

The Lucas 3 device delivers consistent, high-quality mechanical chest compressions during CPR, reducing provider fatigue and improving outcomes during cardiac arrest. It’s especially useful during long transports or when space is limited in the back of the ambulance.

Stryker Power-Load Stretcher

This powered stretcher system allows for safe, efficient patient loading and unloading with minimal lifting, reducing the risk of injury to both patients and providers. It supports bariatric patients and integrates with our ambulance mounts for secure transport.

Stryker Power Stairchair

Used to safely move patients up and down stairs, the powered stair chair assists crews in navigating tight spaces and multi-level buildings. It enhances patient comfort and safety while reducing physical strain on EMS providers.
