Bullitt County EMS periodically offers an EMT Academy to help individuals begin their careers in emergency medical services.

This program provides the education, hands-on training, and support needed to become a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT).

Whether you're new to EMS or looking for a direct path into a public safety career, our academy offers a structured, team-driven environment to help you succeed.

What the Academy Includes

  • Classroom and hands-on skills training

  • Clinical and field ride time

  • Access to mentoring from active EMS providers

  • A direct opportunity to apply for employment with Bullitt County EMS upon successful completion

$47,112 Yearly ($19.50 Hourly)

Advanced EMT

$51,944 Yearly ($21.50 Hourly)

Paramedic

$65,232 Yearly ($27 Hourly)

Flexible Scheduling After Certification

Once hired, Bullitt County EMS offers flexible scheduling, allowing employees to submit availability and select shifts that work best for them — supporting a strong work-life balance.

We operate on a 12.5-hour shift schedule:

0730–2000 (Day Shift)

1930–0800 (Night Shift)
